Animals and People Need Each Other

Since ancient times our ancestors shared stories of their experiences with animals. Indigenous people revered those lessons which help create their values. It also created an authentic existence in which they viewed themselves and the world. The animals taught them how to be in harmony with nature while helping them to survive.

There is much to learn from nature and the animal kingdom that can help us see ourselves more clearly and help create a better world. Animals see the beauty of life naturally. Yet for much of humanity, contact with animals is just visiting a zoo or an aquarium. As a result, much of humanity is suffering from what is now known as ‘Nature Deficit Disorder’ which includes a wide range of behavioral problems.

Contact with animals is limited especially in urban areas where there seems to be higher levels of anxiety and depression. People then resort to drugs and alcohol as an escape. There is a numbness and disconnect from the joy of life because of the illusion that we are separate from each other. Without including the animals as part of the web of life humanity feels alone.

Finding happiness is elusive when we are not connected. Learning that all things are interconnected is the first step to break out of our current predicament. Sadly, most of humanity views animals and nature as a lesser species while ironically the opposite may be true. One way to get re-connected is through our power animal who provide an inner power for our spiritual growth through their daily companionship.

A power animal companion assists us to walk a balanced life between the physical and spiritual worlds. They are spiritual guardians who support and protect us. Their skills and abilities are far beyond human comprehension which is probably why not everyone believes in them. But truth be told, the power animals are a doorway to understanding our subconscious and the mysteries of the universe.

All that stops us from meeting your power animals is the false belief that they do not exist. Yet these “mystical creatures” are known to our personal subconscious and to the collective consciousness. When we make the effort to think and feel their presence, we can experience their reality. They live in a different realm but are accessible to all of us.
