The Snake Keeps Renewing Itself
There are more than 3,000 species of snakes in the world. Most snakes live on land, but there are also about 70 species that live in oceans. Snakes come in many different colors and sizes. They are scaly, elongated, limbless, and carnivorous. They have no ears or eyelids, so they don’t hear or see well but they have an exceptional sense of smell. The agile snake relies on their keen sensitivity to feel the vibrations around them. Some snakes use venom to subdue prey, although most snakes are non-venomous. As cold-blooded reptiles, they need to regulate their body temperature. Snakes molt or shed their skin at least once a year since they keep outgrowing their old one.
There is a general fascination and fear with snakes since they have both good and bad reputations. The intensely aggressive snake is confident and cunning. They move smoothly and quickly, slithering with ease. They have a mysterious gaze and seem to know what others are thinking and feeling. Snakes follow their instincts to pursue what they want. They’ll strike hard and fast if their warning signals are disregarded. The grounded snake is gifted with a natural physique that enables them to defeat their prey.
Although snakes can be troubling at times, they bring positive, healing messages. They are symbols of transformation, life, death, rebirth, creativity, wisdom, and awareness. Whether it’s on the physical or spiritual level, the snake helps us to face and overcome our fears.
