The Eagle is the Strongest and Fastest Bird
Adult bald eagles have dark brown feathers on their body and wings, and white feathers on their head and tail. The adult’s beak and feet are yellow. They have very large, hooked beaks for ripping flesh from their prey, strong, muscular legs, and powerful talons. Their beak is typically heavier than that of most other birds of prey. Eagles fly alone at high altitudes. Eagles have the ability to focus on objects up to three miles away. When an eagle sights his prey, he will not move his focus from the prey until he successfully captures it. Eagles can fly up to an altitude of 10,000 feet, but they are able to swiftly land on the ground. Eagles are carnivorous and mysterious. They are frequently taken as symbols of power, courage, and freedom because they do not hesitate. Eagles have been a symbol of war and imperial power since Babylonian times. Their likeness is found on Greek and Roman ruins, coins, and medals. 25 countries in the world today use an eagle image for their coat of arms, probably because of the creature’s reputation as the ‘King of Birds.’
