The Wombat Uses Their Brains

There are three species of wombats. They’re short eared, small eyed, tailless marsupials, that live in Australia. They have big paws to dig their burrows in fields near damp woodlands. Physically, the solid wombat is characterized by its stout, muscular body, and sturdy claws. They spend most of their life underground, where they excavate elaborate burrow systems. Within these burrows, wombats find refuge from predators and extreme weather conditions.

Wombats are mostly solitary, but some species are sociable. They have patient determination yet can think quickly. The unique wombat spends most of the day resting while at night they eat grasses, shrub roots, and the inner bark of trees. Wombats allow their tiny newborn joeys to develop in a pouch inside their body for up to four months. The shy wombat has a solid, stable, and strong demeanor. They’re deceptively, strong, fast, and agile. In short, the reflective wombat works and plays hard. The  sensitive wombat lives in the present, takes their time, and has a balanced approach to life. They always stand their ground and are not easily intimidated.

The resourceful and adaptable wombat hold a special significance in Australian folklore and indigenous traditions. Revered for their adaptability, they symbolize resilience, perseverance, and strength in the face of adversity. They’re symbolize faith in oneself. Call on the wombat spirit when you want to find a deeper connection with yourself. Their behavior and cultural significance continues to captivate the hearts and minds of people around the world.
